A Visit from Grammy, Grandpa and Grandmommy

Mom, Darrell, and Grandmommy rolled in to Middleburg in a big ole' RV to visit us! Cole called it Grammy's Bus! Both boys loved it, and Chase even got to stay the night in it with them. They were on their way to Texas and they stopped by for a quick visit. We were super excited to see them no matter how long they were staying. They arrived on a Saturday evening just in time to finish watching the VT game! Nick made some delicious Conte Ziti for dinner, and then we visited until time for bed. Sunday, we went to the pumpkin patch so the boys could pick out some pumpkins. I was able to get a couple of decent pictures! Neither one of them is very into cooperating for me when I get the camera out!!








We went out to lunch and then home for the day to watch some football. Cole still loves to wear his helmet. He is even going to dress up as a football player for Halloween.


Once the boys went to bed, they headed out to get ready for the rest of their trip! Nick and I both came down w/ the stomach bug that night so they left just in time. Luckily, none of them picked it up, and they were able to have a great vacation. They went to Texas to see the Alamo and then to New Orleans (with some other stops along the way). They should be arriving back in NC sometime today. We are hoping that they liked the RV enough that they are going to get one! I know the boys would be so excited. They are both still talking about it.

We are going to Sea World tomorrow after Chase's soccer game, and then we will come home on Sunday in time to go collect candy w/ their friends. I should have lots of pics to share next week!

A nice Sunday morning nature walk

Chase loves going on nature walks! He's been asking to go on one for a while, so yesterday morning we headed to the park for some nice family time! We walked on the trail to this big tower, and climbed up for a nice view of the trees. After we were done, we had a nice picnic lunch, and then the boys played on the playground. Then we headed over to the nature center so the boys could see the snakes and turtles. One of the little snakes was "standing up" trying to get out of his cage. YIKES!! Luckily there was a lid on the cage! The snakes were a bit creepy, but the boys really enjoyed looking at them! Cole has been saying "Nake, get out" ever since we left yesterday! Guess he thought it was funny that the one little snake was trying to escape.

Pics from the Jaguars/Eagles Game

This game was a couple of weeks ago, but I still wanted to get the pics up on the blog. We had fun tailgating with some friends, and then had a great time at the game! We are looking forward to going to another Jaguars game in November! The boys really had a great time and were very well behaved (miraculously they weren't complaining that they wanted to go home)!!

Chase's Birthday Messages for his Cousins!

2 of Chase's cousins have birthdays this week. Zachary turns 6 today and Anthony turns 5 on Friday. Nick had a great idea to get Chase to record video clips for each of them. Cole was already in bed so he isn't on the videos!

Zac and Anthony, we hope you both have super fun days! Wish we were there to celebrate with you, but we'll be thinking of you down here in Florida! Can't wait to see you in a couple of months!
