Cole's First Haircut

I just had to share these pics of the cute little man getting his first haircut!! He was such a good boy and only fussed a tiny bit when she was using the clippers. Just when we thought he couldn't be any more cute...

Happy Father's Day

I know I am a couple days late, but I hope all of our dads had a wonderful day on Sunday. Our day was pretty low key b/c Cole was sick. He went to the doctor on Friday and they said he had a virus. Well, he got worse over the weekend and I ended up having to take him in on Sunday morning. They discovered that he had developed and ear infection and put him on some antibiotics. So, it was a LONG weekend with a fussy baby, but he is pretty much back to normal now! Thank goodness!! I think Nick enjoyed his day even though we didn't do very much. We grilled steaks and had some sweet potatoes and asparagus to go with it. Then for dessert, Chase picked out a special cake just for his daddy. He was so excited to give it to him and to eat it of course!!

So, I am now all caught up on the blogging!! WOOHOO!! I have to admit that I have been sucked in by Vampire tales and that is what is keeping me off of the computer at night. First, I got hooked on reading the Twilight series of books. They are supposedly for teenagers, but I know a bunch of adults that have read them and loved them. I fought reading them for a long time b/c I thought I was too old, but I am glad I finally gave in b/c I loved them. It took me about 3 weeks to get through all 4 books!! Now, I have moved on to a show called True Blood that is on HBO and the books that the show was created from. Nick and I have been watching at least one episode per night so that has slowed down my computer time!! So, there you have it...the real reason I haven't been blogging! As soon as the kids go to bed and everything is ready for the next day, we are finally getting some time to sit down and watch tv or read!
I will try to post some pictures and videos from swim lessons sometime this weekend. We were supposed to have our last day last Friday, but then Cole got sick!! So, we have to wait until he is all better and off of the antibiotic before we can go back. Ms. Karen is such a great teacher and nice person...she told me to bring them both back once Cole is better and she will give them a week w/ no charge!! Woohoo! By the end of that week, they will be done and good to go!! It's taken a lot longer than I thought due to rain, vacation and sickness, but I definitely think it has been worth it!

Saturday Night at the Festival

The weather somewhat cooperated on Saturday night and we were finally able to make it to the festival. First, we went to Pop Pop Wishe's and had some dinner. Mimi and Anthony walked up to the festival and brought us back a bunch of yummy things to eat! After dinner, we decided to walk up and let the kids get on some rides. Well, it was a muddy mess so they only got to ride a couple things. We headed over to where they had live music and Chase was in Heaven. As soon as he heard the music he was asking me if he could go up on the stage! He most certainly is not shy. He immediately got out of the stroller and started to dance. The singer asked him what his name was and Anthony too. They thought this was pretty cool! I took a really cute video, but i had the camera turned sideways and I can't get the video to rotate. I could post it on here, but you would have to turn sideways to look at it. It never even occured to me that you couldn't rotate a video like you would do a photo!

Rockford Park

We met up with some friends on Saturday morning to visit and let the kids play. Chase and Abby had a fun time running around while Cole and Caleigh looked on ,wishing they were big enough to run around too!! Next summer all 4 of them will be running around like crazy fools. Maybe there will be more than 4 of them by then...hint hint to both Danielle's! :-)

Crab Night at Mimi and Poppy Joe's House!

As I mentioned a few times before, we had lots of crabs to eat while we were in Delaware!! This night Mimi hosted some family and friends at her house so we had to share!! hahah!! We had a great time visiting with everyone and I tried to take lots of pictures. The boys were having a gret time playing in the backyard. They got really dirty and decided to take their shirts off!
The 3 of them were having such a great time together. It was really fun to watch them interact. They definitely had their moments, but what 3 and 4 year olds don't?!?

Chase and Zac playing the Wii

Zac taught Chase how to play Wii bowling while we were over at his house. Chase loved it and caught on pretty fast. They were both hilarious when Chase would get a strike...they would start hugging and jumping up and down! It was very entertaining! Here's a couple of pictures of them having some fun!

Our trip to Delaware

We had a great trip to Delaware and we are all back in FL now! We left on Thursday morning to fly to Philly. This was Cole's first flight, so we were a bit nervous. He was super good on the plane and the flight was uneventful!! Can't ask for more than that. We were so excited to see Chase so we rushed out of the airport and headed to Arlene and Joe's house. Chase came running out to great us and he headed straight for Nick, screaming "DADDY....DADDY!"!! It was cute, but I was like "Hello...what about me!?!?"!! He was really glad to see us and said he was happy that we were all back together. He was hoping Rocksie would be joining us, but I had to tell him that dogs were not allowed on airplanes...only people! :-)

We packed lots of fun stuff into our weekend. I must say Thursday was a great day b/c we had crabs for lunch as soon as we got there and then Mimi's meatballs for dinner. It doesn't get much better than that! I did manage to eat crabs for 4 days in a row...Joe convinced me that it is ok to have them for breakfast so i did that on Friday, Saturday and Sunday!! mmmm....they were so good. Having crabs only once per year is just not cutting it for me! After crabs on thurs, we headed over to meet the newest Conte, Reese. She is so beautiful and such a sweetie. I couldn't get enough of her all weekend. I wanted to hold her whenever possible. Matt, Jess and Zachary got to meet Cole for the first time too, so they were excited about that! We exchanged babies the minute we walked in!

We ate lots of good food, hung out with family and friends, and just had a great time altogether! It rained a couple of the days we were there so we didn't make it to the festival every night, but we did go 2 times. The kids were so excited to get on the rides and Chase loved the "Gondola from Venice". On Sunday, we walked in the Procession...Joe Biden was even there although we did not get to see him. We did see a bunch of secret service agents walking the streets and there were many stops due to him being a little ways in front of us! We never did run into him to get our picture taken...maybe next year!

I'll post a few of the pictures and try to email out the rest tomorrow!! There are way too many to pick from! I think I got some pretty good ones. My computer is running super slow tonight...it just took 20 mins to upload these 5 pics! I will add more and blog more tomorrow. I am headed to bed for now!

And He's Off

Chase is officially on vacation!! Mimi flew down yesterday morning to pick him up and fly back to Delaware with him. We were all able to spend the day together between the 2 flights. We went to MOSH, which wasn't a very super fun time. As Chase put it "sometimes I like MOSH and sometimes I don't like MOSH!" Well, yesterday he certainly did not like MOSH. At one point he said "Mommy, I just want to go to Delaware!!" So, we left MOSH and headed over to Panera to eat some lunch. After that we headed up to the aiport and sat in the parking lot to get the boys to take naps! Chase was so funny once we were in the airport...he was so ready to go. Nick and I really thought that he was going to be upset when it was time to leave us b/c he had been asking us all week why we weren't coming with him and saying how he wanted us to go, etc. Well, all of that was forgotten when Mimi said it's time to go!! We barely even got hugs out of him and he was running saying they had to hurry up and leave. He did say "Mommy, I will call you everyday" and then he was off!! It is really quiet around here now. It's kind of weird only having 1 kid in the house!!

Today is our 6 year wedding anniversary and we were able to go out to dinner w/o any kids! It was great. Cole apparently wasn't happy about this and really gave Kalib, our babysitter, a run for his money. He was fussing and not wanting to take his bottle. I know Kalib was really happy to see us get home!! We did have a very nice dinner at Carraba's though. It was nice to have some adult time and enjoy a peaceful dinner!

Here are a couple of pictures from our day yesterday. If you want to see what Chase is up to in DE, check out Jessica's blog...Il Conte Famiglia. She already posted a blog about what they did today complete with pics. Thanks Jess for keeping us posted!! We can't wait to see you on Thursday!

9 Months Old

Here are some pics of the not so little guy on his 9 month birthday! He's going to be turning 1 before we know it! We go to the doc for his 9 month check up on Friday so I will be sure to give you his stats after that. I'd say he is around 22 lbs. now!! He's a tank, that is for sure!!
