39 Week Checkup

Well, I went to the doctor this afternoon and didn't get the news that I was hoping for. Friday is out for being induced! :-( The next day available for induction is September 4th!! I told them to forget it b/c he better be out on his own by then. I am 1 cm dilated and 50% effaced and the baby is head down and ready to go! So, I am on the internet now looking at natural induction methods. Looks like we will be taking many walks around the neighborhood the next few nights! This little guy needs to hurry on up b/c he is really making me miserable. I think he is very huge b/c he just has no room left and I feel like he is trying to kick his foot out of my side! If my 34 week ultrasound was right, he was 6 pounds way back then!! AHHH!!

On a happier note, Grammy and Grandpa will be arriving tomorrow for a 2 week stay!! We are all so excited for them to get here. The best news of the week is that my last day of work is Friday! WOOHOOOOO!! I am so looking forward to having 12 weeks off. I am just really ready to get out of there. This last week is really stressing me out. I just have to remember that I only have 2 days to go.

Well, send labor inducing thoughts our way for the next few days! I am sure the baby will be arriving on Saturday since it is VT's first football game of the season. If this baby is anything like his daddy, he is going to want to be here to watch it!! :-)

Here's one of him saying our address. He learned our neighborhood and street a while ago, but has just started to say the house number too! (Excuse his appearance, we are still in our PJ's this afternoon!!)

Check out his "moves" in this one. The other day we were sitting here and he said "Mommy, do you want to see my moves?" Too funny! They were funnier the other day b/c he was doing something with putting his hand behind his ear, but today he was just into moving his feet!

Home for a Hurricane Day!

Chase and I are home today due to the bad weather. Schools have been cancelled today and tomorrow, so Mamma Faye decided to be closed too! I guess these are kind of like snow days for FL kids! Crazy. The weather isn't too bad yet. It is raining and the sky is dark, but no high winds yet. I guess the worst is supposed to come tomorrow. They seem to change the forecast every couple of hours. Yesterday it was supposed to go out to sea and come back with a direct hit on Jax as a category 1 hurricane, but today it looks like it is going to hit south of us. THANK GOD!! I am super nervous being so close to having this baby! I don't want to get stuck giving birth at home b/c we can't make it to the hospital!!! The hospital is a good 40 mins from here, so that is why I am nervous. Hopefully the little man will hang in there until next week. My doctor's office called this AM to say they will be closed the rest of the week, so no 38 week checkup for me. I am bummed about that b/c they were supposed to tell me if they were going to induce me next weeek or not at this appt. Oh well, I go again next Wednesday, so we will just have to wait and see!!

Anyway, there's a little update on what is going on here. I am going to try to take some video clips of Chase today and post them. He is doing some funny things lately and I am sure you would all get a kick out of them!!

Well, say a prayer or cross your fingers that the hurricane doesn't come straight for us and that the baby stays put for a few days! I will keep you posted!

37 WEEKS!

WOW, I cannot believe that I am already 37 weeks pregnant. These last 3 weeks are shaping up to to be the longest ever! I just got back from the doctor and everything is going well. I am just a bit miserable, but I think the last month is always miserable. Cross your fingers that he decides to make an early appearance! There will be a full moon this weekend and I have heard that the hospitals fill up fast with women delivering babies around the full moon! I'm not counting on it, but you just never know! The hospital bags are packed and ready to go just in case! Anyway, here's a couple of pictures of me from today. I am not sure I can get any bigger!

Cooling Off

It's been HOT here lately so Nick thought of a good way for the kids to cool down and have some fun!! They were having a blast running through the sprinklers last night! Just thought I'd share a bit of the fun with you!
