Family Gathering

We had an awesome family "reunion" on Saturday. 3 of my cousins and their kids came down to Lisa and David's, and we had a great time catching up. It had been 3 years since we had all been together. It was just like old times minus a few family members. We tried getting some group pictures, but when you put that many kids together it's hard to get a good picture! In total, we had 19 people there! It was crazy, but fun. Thank goodness Lisa and David have a big house and were willing to put up with everyone!! :-)ok...get ready for a ton of pictures in this post!!! It was too hard to choose just a couple!

Our Trip to Maryland

We took a trip North for New Year's to visit Lisa, David and the kids. We had a great time and I have a ton of pictures to post so I am going to break our trip up into a couple different posts!

We arrived on New Year's Eve. As we were landing we could see snow on the ground...Chase was so excited about this. He had been talking about wanting to play in the snow and have a snow ball fight for a week before we left!! Well, there wasn't very much snow so he didn't get to do any of those things, but he was happy that he at least got to see some! It was super cold so he got a good taste of winter weather!

We stayed in that night, played some Yahtzee and watched the Hokies beat Tennessee in our bowl game! We realized that we are old and lame when all of us decided midnight was overrated and went to bed before the ball dropped!

Christmas in Tallahassee

We did a lot of celebrating for Christmas this year! We drove over to Dad and Lisa's on Christmas Day and stayed for the weekend. Grandmother cooked us a fabulous Christmas dinner with everything you can imagine...turkey, ham and all the fixings! We had a great time being together with everyone for the holiday and for the weekend!

Christmas Morning

This was definitely an exciting Christmas in our house. It was great to see how excited Chase was about the whole holiday season. This is definitely my favorite time of the year, so to see him so into it was awesome for me. Cole is still a little young to know what is going on, but I am betting he will be into it by next Christmas!

Chase woke us up around 6:15 am talking about how he couldn't wait to have a snowball fight when we got to Aunt Lisa's house! Then all of a sudden he remembered that he needed to go see what Santa left for him! I told him to stay in our room until I could go and get Cole out of bed so we could all go and look at the gifts together. He waited patiently while I woke Cole up and got my camera ready! Here are the pics of them checking their stuff out!!Chase LOVED his 2 racetracks and Cole seemed to like his chair! He was a bit more impressed with the tracks though (of course, he is always going to want what his Bubba has)!!

After they played with those for a few minutes, they got to dig into their stockings.
And then they moved on to everything else that was under the tree!It was quite a morning!! Once everything was unwrapped, we had breakfast and then got ready to load up and head to Tallahassee for the rest of the day for some family time.
