Catching Up

It's been a busy week around here, so here comes a long post with lots of pictures!!! These first pictures are from the other night when Chase was playing with his friends, and then helping Nick plant a tree in the backyard. Here's Chase, Ethan, and Maya enjoying some popsicles. After all that sugar, Chase headed over to the swingset. He was quite the daredevil climbing up the ladder, grabbing the bar, and just letting go! I tried to tell him he had to make sure someone was there to catch him so that he would not fall down, but he just kept doing it!!
Nick was busy digging the hole for the new tree while all of this was going on. Once Chase realized what he was doing, he wanted to help daddy dig!! So, he grabbed the shovel and tried to help! It took a while, but they finally got the hole big enough for the tree to fit in! Now we have a nice addition to our backyard. Nick doesn't want me to post pictures until we are sure it is going to live!! So, maybe you can see some next week!!
Friday night we went to a small carnival at a Church down the street from our house. Chase's friends Andrew, Ethan, and Maya were there, and they all had a ton of fun! Chase loved riding the rides! The Elephants and the Airplanes were his favorites. He wanted to ride them over and over again. Nick took Chase on the "Big Slide"....they loved it and Chase said "Daddy, I hold you on the slide!" We ate some burgers and ice cream, rode some more rides and called it a night. On the way to the car Chase said "I don't want to go home"! We told him not to worry, that we would go back again before the weekend was over!

Moving on to Saturday.....Nick and Chase went downtown to a festival called "World of Nations." I stayed home because it was way too hot out and I also needed to clean the house. What fun! I know they had a better time than I did!! They of course headed straight to the Italian exhibit and had pizza and cookies! Chase also got a small Italian flag and was waving it around for everyone to see (we know Mimi will be very happy to hear this)!! He is getting geared up for when we go to Delaware next month for the St. Anthony's Italian Festival.

This post is getting way too long and it's frustrating me when I try to add pictures, so I will start a new one to tell you all about our adventures on Sunday!!
