Our trip to Grammy and Grandpa's

We left last Thursday morning and headed to Charleston. We spent the afternoon and evening with Missy, Christen, and Caleb. Caleb is getting so big and he was enjoying playing with Chase (except for when Chase wouldn't share the toys)! We watched (or should I say the guys watched the VT game) that night. Cole was super fussy, so I ended up laying in bed with him and I think Missy fell asleep!! I am sure by the time we left on Friday, they were thinking that there is no way they will ever have another kid! Hahaha!! We did have a nice visit though...we always enjoy getting to see each other even though it's a lot less often than we want to.

Friday morning, we headed for Calabash. It's about a 2 1/2 hour drive from Charleston, so we got in a little before 10 am. Everyone was excited to see us and Grandmommy was especially excited b/c she was getting to meet Cole for the first time. The guys went to play golf while Grammy spent some time with the little guys and I took a nap!! I got so much rest...it was so wonderful. Thanks Mom...you are the BEST!!!! We just hung out around the house the rest of the day and relaxed. Saturday it was off to the indoor pool. Chase just LOVES the water, so he was super excited to go swimming. He was doing so good too...everytime we go to the pool, he gets better and better! I think I will get him into swim lessons this spring so he can learn some safety around the water. Right now it seems like he has no fear and is ready to go jumping in even when no one is in the pool yet!
After that, we relaxed and watched football the rest of the day. That evening, Chase, Grandmommy and I went out for ice cream at the Calabash Creamery. MMMMMMMM is all I can say! It was so delicious. They had tons of flavors, but Chase just wanted a "Banilla" ice cream cone!! He ate the whole thing, so I think he liked it!! :-) Sunday morning, we got up and got packed and headed home. The trip wasn't too bad. Cole slept most of the way and Chase watched his movies. Our stops were a bit long, which we aren't use to, but we made it!! We had a wonderful time and can't wait for them to head our way at Christmas time. They arrive 6 weeks from today!!
Finally a good shot of him smiling!
