What a day we had at Disney World on Saturday. We left Jacksonville around 7:45 am and arrived at the park about 10:30. We didn't leave the park until 10:30 that night, so it was a LONG day! We met up with Jeremy, Ashley, Lisa and the kids when we got there and did a few things together before they went back to the hotel to take naps! We decided to stay at the park so that we could get a full day in!
Chase had such a great time. He loved it there and asked me if we could stay forever. So cute! His favorite ride was the race car ride (go figure)! He wanted to go on the first before we did anything else! Next it was on to the teacups. I was so excited to ride them and had been talking about it all morning. Wow, it sure wasn't like i had remembered!! I was dizzy and nauseous by the time we got off!! I sure am getting old! Oh well, it was fun anyway. Chase and Braden were cracking up laughing the whole time!
It was pretty crowded and the lines were long, so we didn't manage to get on all of the rides. Chase was sad because he was just a tad bit too short to ride on Splash Mountain. We told him we could go back next year and he would be able to ride it then!
There is something so cool about Disney at night. The lines were a little bit shorter so Chase and I rode "It's a Small World" and only had to wait about 10 minutes. I was having such wonderful memories of being a little girl at Disney while we were on that ride. I am not sure what it was, but all I could think about was being there with Grandmommy and Grandaddy when I was little and how much I loved it. It was so cool to see Chase having just as much fun as I did. I am going to have to dig out some old pictures to show him b/c he just kind of looked at me funny when I told him how much I loved Disney when I was little!
The fireworks that night were amazing. They were just going off everywhere around us! Chase and Cole were both still awake for these at 9pm! Neither one of them were even scared. They were just staring up at the sky in amazement.
After the fireworks, Chase still wanted to ride some more things so we went on the carousel (this is another one of my favorites). Then Chase and Nick waited in line for Dumbo for like half an hour! About the time they were getting on, we saw the rest of our crew and Braden hoped the fence to get in line with them. They all 3 rode and then we decided to get back to the hotel. Cole was not happy about still being awake! He had been so good all day long (I just cannot say enough about what a good baby he is)! He napped a few times and was just a happy little guy all day. He even got to go on a couple of rides!
On the way back to the hotel, Chase couldn't stop talking about everything we had done. Then he told us that he was tired and he was just going to take a rest in his seat until we got there! Well, soon after that he was out for the night...didn't even wake up when we got back to the hotel! Cole on the other hand was wide awake and wanting to play, which was fine with Lisa...she was happy to see him no matter what time it was! We all finally got to bed and actually slept in a little Sunday before we headed home.
